5. Research Ethics & Methodological Disclosure

In alignment with ethical research standards:

• Participation in Voteidea research is voluntary
• Voteidea does not misrepresent surveys as probability-based unless explicitly stated
• Survey results are not presented as statistically representative of the general population unless warranted and disclosed
• When results are shared, relevant methodological context is provided
• Duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive participation is actively mitigated

6. How We Share Information

Voteidea limits information sharing as follows:

• Aggregated and anonymized insights may be shared publicly
• Personally identifiable information is not publicly disclosed
• Information may be shared with trusted service providers who assist in operating the Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, security), subject to confidentiality obligations
• Information may be disclosed if required by law or legal process
• Voteidea does not sell personal information.

7. Data Retention, Aggregation, and Deletion

7.1 Retention (General)

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

7.2 Aggregated Results (Non-Identifiable) and "Results Snapshot"

Voteidea may create and retain non-identifiable, aggregated results from surveys (for example, counts, percentages, and total number of responses). These aggregated results:

• are not intended to identify any individual,
• may be retained as a research record and for trend consistency over time, and
• may be retained even if individual participants later delete their accounts.

7.3 Account Deletion and the 30-Day Purge Timeline

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information through the Services (for example, an in-app account deletion function).

When you initiate account deletion:

• We will take steps to delete or de-identify your personal information and account-linked data.
• Your account and associated personal information will be fully deleted within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
• Non-identifiable, aggregated results (as described in Section 7.2) may be retained.

8. Data Security

Voteidea implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. While no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we take data protection seriously.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limitations
• Withdraw from participation in Voteidea research

Where supported in the Services, deletion requests can be initiated in-app. You may also contact us using the information below. If you initiate account deletion, we will complete deletion within 30 days as described in Section 7.3.

10. Cookies & Analytics

Voteidea may use cookies or similar technologies to support basic functionality and understand how the Services are used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings.

When we use analytics, we use aggregated reporting that combines data across visitors and is not intended to identify you as an individual. We do not use cookies or analytics for advertising, cross-site tracking, or to build individual marketing profiles.

11. Children’s Privacy

Voteidea is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

12. International Users

Voteidea is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
